Stéphane Schroeder completed the IM70.3 Budapest [HUN] under hot weather conditions making it a tough day for all competitors.
Stéphane covered the 1.9km one lap swim course, located in the protected Kopaszi bay of the river Danube at the Buda (west) side of the river in 32:40min [1:43/100m].
The bike course consisted of a two loop-course that leads through the most spectacular sites of Budapest, he put his bike back into T2 after 90km in 2:26:45.
As the temperatures were rising to the mid-30s, the half-marathon was quite a tough job for all the athletes, but he managed to run a steady pace by finishing the 21.1km in 1:44:20.
After 4:49:34, Stéphane ranked 22nd in AG M25-29 and 235th overall out of 1255 athletes. Well done!
