On Saturday June 25th, a couple of athletes headed to Sankt Wendel in the Saarland region in Germany.
On the menu was a Sprint Powerman Duathlon (5-40-5km)
The running part was very demanding not being flat at all as was the bike part, a 1 lap course with steep climbs. Jérôme Barthels crossed the finish line in 2h10 min with an excellent 16th rank overall out of 89 starters. Guy Theissen had a difficult second run, suffering from cramps forcing him to stop 3 times but still finishing in 2h22 min ranked 45th overall. Marc Matgen finished the race in 2h28 min ranked 54th overall.
Generally speaking, it was a difficult race but a great day out.
Great result from Chris Doyle on sunday at the Powerman St. Wendel LD over 10-120-20km after a difficult start of season. He managed to take 15th rank overall and won the AG M50-54!!! WELL DONE Chris!
