Abu Dhabi’s iconic Corniche came alive on sunday with the sight of thousands of ITU World Triathlon Abu Dhabi age group participants and spectators, for one of the world’s most exciting and picturesque triathlon events. Over 2,000 athletes raced the multisport swim, bike, run course overlooking the UAE Capital’s beautiful coastline in perfect weather conditions, ahead of elite Olympic and World Champions.
More than 550 participants flew in to the UAE’s Capital from more than 50 countries, specifically to compete in the International Triathlon Union sanctioned event. Amongst all of these athletes, Olivier Godart managed to win the maxi distance of 1.7-80-21km in setting a new race record of 3:35:59h. IMPRESSIVE RESULT!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!
