Once again, very impressive result from Dubai-based athlete Olivier Godart at the inaugural IM70.3 event in Dubai. Olivier, who raced under his professional licence, managed to take a 10th rank overall in a world-class field. The race was won by Jan Frodeno, current Ironman Hawaii world champion 2015.
After a reduced swim part due to high waves and strong current in the open sea, Olivier left the water on 16th rank. (1200m in 19:00min, only 600m for all the age-groupers)
Once on the bike, he pushed hard against the strong winds to finish the 90km in 2:09:15 (AVG of 41.78km/h), moving up in TOP10 overall.
Olivier finally ran the 21.1km in 1:21:35 (AVG of 3:51/km) and managed to keep this very good 10th position overall. Congratulations from the entire team!
