Excellent results were achieved at the traditional triathlon in Echternach (1.5-40-10km – 111 finisher) counting for the national triathlon OD championships in 2016. Several new personal best times, some first attempts on this distance and a few national triathlon championship titles for our members!! Congratulations to all of you!!
Best performance of the day goes to Bob Haller, who won the 32nd international triathlon in 1h51:32, leading belgian athlete Emmanuel Lejeune by 2:27min and Yannick Lieners (CAB) by 7:49min. Bob took his 3rd national elite triathlon title over this distance after 2013 and 2015!!! Well done!

In the Promo Triathlon (0.75-20-5km – 86 finisher), Jean Claude Schmitz finished 7th overall missing the age group win by only 12sec. Mariette Brosius finished on 48th rank overall, 9th female and won the W18-24 age group! Manon Kirsch finished on good 56th rank overall for her first participation under X3M flag!!! Congratulations.

In the youth and kids’ races counting for the national youth championships, Jil Langer won the title in Youth-C female category.

Another 2 podiums for the Langer-family : Noa Langer finished 2nd in category KIDS-A female, Ben Langer 2nd in KIDS-B.
Finally, Finn Schiltz took 8th rank in KIDS-A (15th overall), Ben Smallbone finished 10th in KIDS-A (18th overall), Harry Smallbone got 5th rank in KIDS-B (24th overall) and Bob Graffé finished 12th in KIDS-A (25th overall).
