Once again, stiflingly hot conditions to run a marathon resp. half-marathon on saturday evening. 25deg+ at the race start at 19h00 – not so easy for the 10000 runners.
Gavin Hodgson raced the marathon distance and literally blew up due to the heat – he finished on 150th rank overall in 03:41:21
In the half-marathon, Sonny Eschette finished on excellent 8th female rank overall (out of 2116 ladies) in 1h36:50. Yves Koch took 147th rank in male race with a finish time of 1h32:39. Alex Weishaar took 216th rank in 1h35:45, Emiliano Larruccia on 300th rank in 1h38:41 followed by Samuel Nilles on rank 434 in 1h42:31. Pit Glodt ran 1h50:16 and classified on 918th rank out of 4183 male finisher.
