On Sunday Oct 29th Guy Theissen and Marc Matgen raced the Dublin marathon.
On a beautiful sunny day with temperatures of up to 14 degrees, close to 20,000+ athletes showed up at the starting line. The course was mostly flat with a few hills throughout. However there was one long drag between miles 21-22 that can break your heart aka heartbreak hill 🙂 . It’s not that it’s very steep, it’s just very long and gradual and occurs at a point in the race where you might experience some difficulties.
Guy finished the race in 3h48′ while Marc finished his second marathon in 4h42′ after having some difficulties on the 20 Miles mark but he kept his composure and kept going to earn his well deserved finisher medal. Well done!
