A lot of luxembourgish athletes raced the City Triathlon Merzig, counting for the regional championships ‘Grande-Région’.
Over the sprint-distance, the best result goes to Mariette Brosius, who won her age group F1 and ranked 21st overall in 1h25´45. Charlotte de Groote followed on 31st rank overall in 1h30’10”. In the male category, Carlo Feltes placed himself onto overall rank 135 in 1h18´10″ and Antoine de Groote finished on rank 183 in 1h24´26″.
Besides the sprint-distance race, there was an olympic distance race too with several X3M’ers at the starting grid. Fastest athlete was Sven Goergen, who finished 3rd in age group M3 in 2h25´59″ (new Top10 result – overall 17th), followed by Yves Koch on overall place 32 (2h32´39″) and Alain Jungen on rank 69 (2h43´12″).
As you can see on the pictures below, the ambiance was very cheerful with some good recovery drinks at the finishers party… ;-)))
