The 2nd edition of the Nissan Triathlon Festival took place at the Atlantis Resort on the iconic Dubai Palm Jumeirah with an all-new bike course. Despite being announced as an olympic triathlon, the distances were quite odd with a 2km swim part, 43km on the bike with 600m altitude difference and 30 road bumpers to finish with a 11km run… The weather was very nice with 37°C and high humidity… 😉
Nevertheless, UAE resident and X3M professional Olivier Godart came in first overall to iterate last year’s win! Tremendous performance!
Olivier crossed the finishline in a time of 2:09’51, beating Vivek Goenka by more than 14min!
Third place in the top division went to Matthias Assenheimer, who completed the race in 2:27’21.
“I’m really, really happy but it was a hard core race,” said Godart after the event.
