After a severe bike crash end of june with a grade 1-2 dislocation of shoulder, multiple scrapes and bruises and a contusion on his back, Chris Doyle raced the IRONMAN Nice [FRA] on sunday still hoping to get the famous slot for Kona.
After a good swim in 1:12min, Chris had some slight troubles on the bike already but he kept going on strongly to finish this hilly bike course in 5h45min. Once in his running shoes, normally his strongest part in a triathlon, Chris felt apart due to all of his injuries. But with his endless fighting spirit, he kept going on to finish this IM in 11h47 on 359th rank overall an 20th rank in M50.
We wish Chris a fast recovery and good luck for his next KONA qualification attempt – keep going on Chris!!!
