Several athletes from our team raced the 56th Route du vin half marathon, going from Remich towards Wormeldange and back. The weather was great as usual for this event – sunshine all day long and temperatures around 18 degrees.
Hubert Strauss showed the fastest half-marathon in 1:34:32 net (rank 185), followed by Tania Arensdorf in 1:35:49 net (female rank 18), Georges Reding in 1:38:06 net (rank 251), Carlo Feltes in 1:47:49 net (rank 461), Maria Peiretti in 1:48:25 net (50th female rank), Martin Bäumler in 1:51:14 net (rank 554), Alain Jungen in 1:58:10 net (rank 747) and Simon Smallbone in 2:10:16 (rank 1009). Overall, there were 1257 finishers at this 56th edition.
Very strong performance at the Maxi Route du raisin Kids’ run over 1500m (age group 2004-2007) by Benedikt Strauss – in his first race for X3M, Benedikt managed to win the overall race in 5:59min. Well done! On 12th rank, his younger brother Leopold Strauss finished in 6:35min followed by Ben Smallbone in 6:46min on 20th rank overall. 74 kids finished the 1.5km race.
